Since Sandra has started implementing strong man skills into the schedule of classes at her gym, we have gotten to use interesting equipment. In fact, we got to use the atlas stones she had made for the first time today! It was exciting and fun!
Of course they started as empty molds. They were an adventure to get when I picked them up for Sandra. (Yay for Crossfit Stompin’ Ground for letting us borrow them!)
Then John put them together and filled them with some concrete. As you can see, there are a variety of sizes:
After like THREE weeks of curing, they were finally done! We used them after John had sanded them down of course.
And the workout today was AWESOME! We finally had atlas stones in various weights that EVERYONE could pick up! 🙂
On a side note…I survived 100 burpees! And day 5 of the ab challenge!
So I am proud of myself…I have kept up with my burpee challenge. Even on the days I don’t make it to the gym! (I know…I surprise myself sometimes.) On Mother’s Day I knew I would not have any time to get to the gym for a workout but I had burpees to do! So I got up early…and did my 75 burpees first thing in the morning! 🙂 I was so proud of myself. So today we are at day 12…95 burpees. Which means tomorrow is 100! Now for some reason I just can not get over that number…100! It just seems so overwhelming thinking about it and it is not even here yet! 10 burpees at a time…10 at a time and I will get there!
Now on a side note I started a 30 day ab challenge also! This one has not overwhelmed me too much yet…but we are on day 4 and it happens to be a rest day! 🙂 I am doing this challenge with Liz, Mike, and John. Here is what we are doing:
